Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) has expressed his appreciation for the Sanskrit Samvad 'Kim Bho' program which was held at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru this time in Mann Ki Baat.

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned Akashvani
Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking at Mann Ki Baat on promoting Sanskrit in the modern world said, “Aakashvani's Sanskrit Bulletin completes 50 years of broadcasting today. For 50 years, this bulletin has connected Sanskrit with many people. Further, there is Cubbon Park in Bangalore. People here have started a new tradition in this park. Here one day a week, every Sunday, children, youth and elders speak to each other in Sanskrit. Not only this, many discussion programs in Sanskrit are organized here. The name of this initiative is - Sanskrit Weekend," said PM Modi.
Sanskrit is not only the language of scholars
Apart from this, Samashti Gubbi also promotes Sanskrit through many online classes including bike rides. Says its founder Samashti Gubbi. “People think Sanskrit is the language of scholars or it is only used for religious purposes. We want to break stereotypes and show that Sanskrit can be used in modern and everyday situations. You can do vlogs or podcasts in Sanskrit,” he says.
