Demand for bribe to assign duty! KSRP inspector caught red-handed accepting money

The staff working in the KSRP office of Asaigoli, Mangalore outskirts, demanded a bribe for allotment of duty place.  6,000 bribe was demanded every month, and the staff complained to the Lokayukta officer.  Later, he was caught red-handed while accepting bribes.  The raid was conducted under the leadership of Lokayukta SP Nataraj and DySP Cheluvaraj and the inspectors have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.

The Lokayukta raided the Harihara Municipal Council office and the Municipal Commissioner was caught accepting a bribe of 2 lakhs last Monday.  Commissioner Basavaraj Aigur is an officer who fell into the Lokayukta trap.  Basavaraj has fallen into the Lokayukta trap as a red and while receiving a bribe of 2 lakhs from a material supply dealer named Karibasappa.  The fact that this incident has taken place at a time when there are already allegations of corruption in Harihar Municipal Council has given further support to the allegations.
